Mariposa Organic Farms
The McFadyen family has been involved in conservation for more than fifteen years and have been farming their property organically for almost 60 years. Karl and Sarah, along with Karl's mother Lee, are stewards of about 150 acres of grassland and rugged terrain surrounding their organic farm that is home to over a dozen at-risk bird, reptile, and amphibian species.
Over the years, the McFadyens have worked with stewardship in enhancing their habitat by planting native plants and managing invasive species. They have also been involved with inventories and counts of the bat species on their property.
