Ven'Amour Organic Farms/Forbidden Fruit Winery
Cawston, BC

Kim Brind'Amour and Steve Venables have been a part of habitat conservation efforts in the Okanagan for almost 15 years. Their 140+ acre organic tree fruit farm and vineyard, Ven'Amour Organics, is home to a large area of endangered old-growth riparian (creekside) cottonwood forest along the Similkameen river,
as well as an expanse of dry sagebrush grassland along the slopes above the orchards. Educational signage has been installed in the riparian area to inform visitors on the importance of the habitat.

The wines at  Forbidden Fruit Winery are made with the fruit grown on their farm and each year, Steve and Kim generously donate their tasting fees each to OSS to help us support stewardship and conservation.
