Locals and visitors are invited to channel their inner scientist by participating in Okanagan Similkameen Stewardship & Caravan Farm Theatre’s BioBlitz event.

During the event, participants will be joined by Okanagan Similkameen Stewardship biologists, naturalists, and field technicians and invited to learn how to identify the plants and wildlife who call this special place home.

Observations will be catalogued using the iNaturalist app. This free app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play and an account can be created from the login screen.

Participants will be given instructions on how to make observations in the app on the day of. Some field guides will be provided, but attendees are also encouraged to bring their own. This event will run rain or shine so attendees should dress for the weather, bring water, and wear sturdy shoes, a hat and sunscreen.
