World Otter Day!

Otters are such cute creatures but don't let that fool you, they can be ferocious when they wan to be. Here in the Okanagan and Similkameen, we are lucky to share the land and waters with our very own River otters.

These guys are know for their playful and fun behaviour. They can be seen sliding or burrowing in the mud or snow, chasing each others tails, or generally playing in the water. Their slender flexible bodies allow them to preform rolls, tumbles and dives like a gymnast. And while this may look like just fun and games, they are actually learning important hunting skills all while creating stronger social bonds.

They are usually found eating fish, amphibians, and different aquatic invertebrates. And they need to hunt and eat lots due to a high metabolism. So this play time really comes in handy and will help them survive down the road.

The minimalist design of Core Ball keeps attention focused entirely on timing, rhythm, and successful execution.

I like how Drive Mad gradually increases the difficulty instead of throwing impossible obstacles at players right away. The progression feels natural.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT >

We respectfully acknowledge that our stewardship work takes place on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Syilx (Okanagan) People. For countless generations, the Syilx People have cared for these lands, waters, plants, and wildlife through their knowledge, laws, and responsibilities to the natural world.

As an organization dedicated to conservation and stewardship, we recognize that caring for ecosystems is not a new practice but one that has been guided by Indigenous Peoples since time immemorial. We honour the Syilx Nation's enduring stewardship and commit to fostering respectful relationships with the land and with the people who have always called it home.
